Who is responsible

The data controller for this website is Wilko Grolman, practising through SELAS Otologie de Colombiers, Clinique Causse, 3 Traverse de Béziers, 34440 Colombiers, France. Questions about this notice can be sent through the contact form.

What is collected

Visiting the site. The site is static and does not set advertising or analytics cookies. Its hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes IP addresses and request data in server and security logs for the purpose of delivering the site and protecting it from abuse; these logs are retained for a limited period under the provider’s terms.

The contact form. Your name, country, email address, reason for contact and message are transmitted to the practice by email or secure webhook and used only to reply to you. A bot-protection check (Cloudflare Turnstile) may process technical data about your browser to distinguish humans from automated traffic. The form is rate-limited; the rate-limit record contains a hashed identifier and is deleted within an hour.

Records sent for a second opinion. If you send audiograms, imaging or reports, these are health data. They are used solely to prepare the review you have requested, are stored in the practice’s medical record system under the rules that apply to medical records in France, and are not shared with third parties except as required by law or with your explicit request (for example, a letter to your own surgeon). Please do not send records through the contact form itself; you will be given instructions for secure transfer in the reply.

Replying to your enquiry: your request (pre-contractual steps and legitimate interest). Preparing a medical review: the provision of healthcare and your explicit consent. Security logs: legitimate interest in operating a secure website.

Retention

Contact enquiries that do not lead to a medical review are deleted within twelve months. Medical records are retained for the period required by French law for medical records.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may ask for access to your data, correction, deletion (subject to medical-record retention rules), restriction, and portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. You may complain to the French supervisory authority, the CNIL, or to the authority in your own country.

Transfers

Hosting infrastructure may process data outside the European Economic Area under standard contractual clauses. Medical records are held in France.
